Paige Hoagland

Mrs. Hoagland

Pinckney Parents/Guardians and Students,

My name is Paige Hoagland and I am very excited to begin the 2018-2019 school year! This will mark the start of my fifth year at Charles Pinckney Elementary. My first three years, I was a third grade teacher and last year, I made the transition into counseling. I have loved every minute of my new role and I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful Pinckney family!

In 2004, I graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. After that, I moved to Maryland and taught first grade in a Title I school for nine years. While teaching, I earned my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Then, five years ago, my family and I decided to make the move down south. We settled in Charleston County, and shortly after I completed two long-term substitute positions at Pinckney. While subbing, I received the 2014 Kelly Services South Carolina State Substitute of the Year Award!

I married my best friend seven years ago and we are very blessed to have a 5 1/2 year old boy and a 2 year old baby girl. When we’re together, we love going to the beach; boating; walking around downtown Charleston; and watching New York Giants football!

As school guidance counselor, my goal is to help empower students to reach their maximum potential by implementing a comprehensive counseling program which focuses on academic, personal/social, and career goals. I believe every child can and will SUCCEED!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at OR submit a Parent/Guardian Counseling Request Form (click on the link).

I am so thankful to be here at Pinckney and I am eager to start a great school year!
